Retreat Center

The Retreat Center at Visitation Monastery is located on forty acres of expansive lawns and woods. The surroundings include a large gazebo, a pond with paddleboat, lovely flower gardens and spacious views in all seasons. This setting provides a tranquil environment for women of all faiths seeking a place of quiet reflection and prayer from one to ten days.

The monastery is a center of peace in the world and a home to the Visitation Sisters who communicate their spirit of humility and gentleness through contemplative prayer and living Jesus joyfully. Retreat participants are welcome to join the sisters for Eucharistic celebration and Liturgy of the Hours in the chapel. Lunch and supper are homemade meals that may be enjoyed with the sisters in the dining room or taken back to the retreat center.

Visitation is a smoke-free environment. The Retreat Center has private rooms, a Blessed Sacrament prayer room, a sitting area with books and tapes, and a kitchen with breakfast foods and snacks. This center provides a harbor that allows each participant to become relaxed, refreshed, focused and renewed.
